WorkSaver(sm) Functional Testing determines individual’s abilities to perform the essential functions of the job safely. – It does not diagnose disabilities. Many testing failures are unrelated to physical impairments, injuries or disabilities. Failures may be simply related to insufficient strength, flexibility, and/or aerobic fitness (e.g., couch potato syndrome). Applicants with high blood pressure, tachycardia (excessive heart rate) and /or symptomatic conditions that can be aggravated by the job are not tested and are not allowed to be placed on the job until these conditions are resolved.
Prior to functional testing, WorkSaver Employee Testing Systems will perform physical demand validations of jobs to be tested and develop professional functional job descriptions. The validated functional job description forms the legal basis for WorkSaver(sm) Employee Testing and proper selection of employees.
